Hot Streaks

Game Night

Hot Streaks is a fast-paced, push-your-luck card game where every roll, flip, or play could keep your streak alive… or burn it out. Chase the heat, outsmart your friends, and see who can stay on fire the longest!

What We Ate

Nachos

Make your favorite nachos. Honestly just enjoy them, BUT do me one favor? don't build them 4 feet tall! Get a half sized sheet tray and layer them flat! This isn't New York, we have space to build out not up! Layer of chips, layer of cheese, layer of beans if you're using them, layer of chips, layer of cheese, layer beans and repeat.

When they come out of a 400F oven and the cheese is melted, top with your toppings. We used chicken thighs that we braised in salsa verde, queso, guacamole, jalapeños, diced red onion.

Make them the way you want, just build them out and layer them instead of building a pile of chips and topping that. You'll enjoy them more, I promise

What We Drank

Mint Julep

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Bourbon, we like Woodford Reserve
  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
  • 8–10 fresh Mint Leaves, plus a sprig for garnish
  • Crushed Ice (essential)

Procedure

  • Put ice cubes in a bag and smash them with. a rolling pin to make your crushed ice

  1. In a Julep cup or rocks glass, gently muddle the mint leaves with the simple syrup to release the oils
  2. Pour in the 2 oz of bourbon.
  3. Fill the glass halfway with crushed ice and stir to combine and chill.
  4. Top with more crushed ice to form a dome over the top of the glass.
  5. GGarnish with a fresh sprig of mint (slap it in your hand first to release the aroma).
