Monkey Bread!
We wanted something simple that we could pull and eat. You could go sweet or savory but with the drinks we chose we wanted to make a savory one. So this monkey bread is packed with jack cheese and hatch chilis. Grab a bundt pan, some nonstick spray and bake away.
Recipe
- 1 (16 oz) tube refrigerated flaky biscuits
- 1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter, melted
- 1 (4 oz) can chilis, drained
- 1 shallot, minced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded medium cheddar
- 1 1/2 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
- Preheat oven to 350˚F. Remove biscuit dough from tube and cut each piece into quarters. In a large bowl combine biscuit pieces with butter, chilis, shallot, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Add half the cheese to bowl and toss to combine.
- Pour into a greased 2-3 quart baking dish and top with remaining cheese. Bake for 20 minutes then cover and return to oven for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and biscuits pieces have puffed up.
- Remove bread from pan to a serving plate and serve piping hot.
What We Drank
Boba Tea
We love boba. It's so easy to make your own. Use black tea, fruit tea or anything you want. We made 4 different types use different popping bobas and some tapioca pearls. The popping bobas are easy to find on amazon with the tapioca pearls.
Brew your desired tea ahead of time. Allow to cool naturally but don't add ice yet (as it will water it down as the heat melts the ice).
Add your pooping boba and pearls, add ice and any sweetener you might want. At this stage use honey or a simple syrup so it mixes easily.
Top with ice and enjoy!
